Books
I read every day. A book is a finished mind I can sit with. Some days it is computer science. Some days it is not. The rule stays the same: I open the book.
Araw-araw akong nagbabasa. Every day, I read.
A personal learning page
Mahal ko ang pag-aaral.
I love learning.
Who I am
I am Cherry Awit, a Filipino IT professional. Tagalog is my language. I live in Metro Manila, and I am studying English every day so I can say a hard idea clearly.
Computer science is my field. Teaching it is the life I am studying toward.
I already work in information technology. My bachelor’s degree in computer science taught me how a system is built: the problem, the parts, and the test that tells me whether it works.
I am studying now for my master’s in computer science. I want the deeper study, not a new title for its own sake. The subject I hope to teach should be a subject I am still willing to learn.
Araw-araw · every day
I read every day. A book is a finished mind I can sit with. Some days it is computer science. Some days it is not. The rule stays the same: I open the book.
Araw-araw akong nagbabasa. Every day, I read.
Tagalog is home. English is the language of the classroom I want, so I study it every day. I keep a sentence, then I write it again until it is cleaner.
Pangarap
Gusto kong maging propesor sa kolehiyo.
I want to become a college professor. I like the moment a hard thing becomes clear to someone else. That is the work. Computer science is what I have to offer. Reading, English, and this master’s degree are how I become ready to stand in front of a room and mean it.
I am not there yet. I am early, and I am glad to be early. Learning is not the waiting room. It is the job I already love.
